Privacy policy
How InternLink handles your information
This policy follows the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Last updated: [date of launch].
What we collect
When you contact us we collect your name, work email, organisation, the services you are interested in and the details of your enquiry. When we arrange a placement we receive student information from the student's education provider, such as name, course, unit, placement hours and, for international students, information needed to confirm the placement is part of their course.
Why we collect it
We use it to respond to enquiries, to arrange and support placements, projects and training, and to give education providers the records they need for assessment and compliance. We do not sell personal information or use it for unrelated marketing.
Who we share it with
We share student information only with the student's education provider and the host organisation for that placement, and with service providers who help us run the business (for example secure document storage), under confidentiality obligations.
How we protect it
Information is stored with access controls and encryption, kept only as long as needed for the placement and the provider's record-keeping requirements, and then deleted or de-identified.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you, or make a privacy complaint, through our contact page. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
